Pair of cottages. Early C17. Chalk ashlar on sarsen base (Suitsuis white-
washed); thatched roof, brick stacks. 2-unit plan to each cottage. 1 1/2-
storey, 1-window range. Timber lintels over two C20 ledged doors to centre; and
irregular C19 and early C20 casements; mid/late C18 4-light leaded casement in
rear 1st floor window. Right gable end rebuilt early-mid C19 with brick bands
and eaves. Hipped roof; end stacks. Interior: Suitsuis has chamfered beams with
quirk and splay stops; original plank and stud partition; 4-bay, collar-truss
roof. Interior of Peatree Cottage not inspected but said to have similar
features. C20 extensions at rear.
