House. Late C16/early C17. Rendered walling; thatched roof, brick stack. 2-
unit plan. 1 1/2-storey, 3-window range. Late C19 planked door in heavy frame.
C20 casements, except original 2-light wood-mullioned casement to left. C18
three 1-light leaded casement to rear; flat-roofed C20 dormer; half-flipped
roof; end stack to left. Interior: planked doors include one C18 planked door
with fittings on first floor. Chamfered beam to left. Butt-purlin 3-bay roof;
truss obscured but springing for arch-brace visible in rear wall beneath first
floor level; and mortices in principal rafter and soffit of collar in left
truss suggest that original roof was arch-braced and of open-hall type. C18
forge attached to right gable wall: brick, random band, to front and light
timber frame to rear; old tiled roof; brick stack; Single unit; 1 1/2-storey;
Heavy frames to C18 planked doors front and rear; C20 8-light window; Half-
hipped roof; Interior has original plain beams and joists; and stairs on left
cellar and first floor. Old forge attached to C18 stables; chalk uncoursed
rubble, weatherboarded to rear, old tile roof; central planked door and C18
shutter to right; hipped roof.
