House. Early C18. Sarsen uncoursed rubble with squared chalk quoins, bands
andHouse. Early C18. Sarsen uncoursed rubble with squared chalk quoins, bands
and blocks; stone slate roof, recent tile roof to rear; brick stacks. 3-unit
plan. 1 1/2-storey, 4-window range. One light over late C19 four-panelled door
4- light early C18 wood-mullioned and transomed leaded casements; middle two
dormers are joined together. Left side wall has one-light leaded casement and 2
gabled dormers. Gabled roof; right end, ridge, and ridge stacks. Probably
built at same time as the improvements of c.1710 to Compton Beauchamp House
(q.v.).
