Cottage. Date beside door 1801, John Hawke. Squared and coursed chalk, brick
dressings; thatched roof, brick stack. 1 1/2-storey, 2 window range. Flat hood
on carved brackets over original plank door. One brick elliptical arch and
timber lintel over 2-light C20 ground-floor windows; 2-light C20 first floor
windows; hipped roof; gable end stack. Interior: Full set of chamfered beams
and common joists, and plank doors. Original brick lean-to to left with
contemporary fireplace.
