8/75 Arnhen Cottage

GV II

House. Late C17/early C18 with later C18 bay to right. Random limestone rubble;
thatched roof; brick stacks. Original plan form not determined. One storey and
attic; 2-window range. Timber lintels over late C20 inserted door and blocked
original opening to left. Timber lintel over C18 two-light casement with one
inserted light, and flat stone arch over blocked opening to right; half dormers
have C18 three-light casements, that to the right retaining its original leaded
lights. Roof is half-hipped to left and gabled to right. Gable end stack to
right. Timber lintels over C20 casements and doors to sides and rear; half
dormer to rear retains C18 two-light casement. Interior: 3-bay raised-cruck roof
with through purlins.
