Farmhouse, now house. Late C17, remodelled and extended c.1910. Coursed
limestone rubble, limestone ashlar dressings; stone slate roof; brick stacks.
Double-depth plan. 2 storeys and attic; 6-window range. Original 5-window range
has ashlar lintel and quoins to C20 two-light casements, and blocked central
door, with one-light window to right. Ashlar storey band; 4 gabled roof dormers.
C20 extension to right under same roof in similar materials and style; 2-storey
porch has square-headed stone doorway with moulded architrave to plank door.
Gabled roof; gable end and ridge stacks; early C20 porch has ashlar stack
corbelled out from side wall. 9-window range to rear had timber lintels and
ashlar quoins to early C20 casements and plank door; 2 blocked C17 cellar
windows. Interior: C20 dog-leg stairs in late C17 style to rear of hall opposite
entry. C17 stone firepalce in room left of porch. Other interior features are
early C20. Subsidiary features: one storey and attic, 3-window range attached to
left gable in similar materials and of double-depth plan; segmental and flat
stone arches over 2-light leaded casements and C20 doors; steps to left rise
over dog kennels to plain round headed first-floor doorway; 6-bay arcade and
central gabled projection flanked by gabled dormers to rear. Similar one-storey
extension to left gable wall.
