Farmhouse, now house. c.1760. Flared Flemish bond brick with red brick dressings
and string to front; all other walls of coursed limestone rubble; stone slate
roof; brick stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys; 5-window range. Semi-ciruclar arch over
late C19 six-panelled door with plain fanlight. Segmental arches over 6-panelled
sashes and blind windows to second bay from right. Dentilled eaves. Gabled roof;
gable end to left and ridge stacks, finished in dog-tooth brickwork. Right gable
wall has late C19 horned sash over C18 sash. Similar 2-storey, 2-window range to
rear right has timber lintels over 6-panelled door with moulded brackets to flat
hood and late C19 three-light casements; similar brick gable end stack. Late C19
two-storey, one-bay gabled extension to rear with flat brick arches over
tripartite sashes. Interior: 3-unit range to front has late C19 straight-flight
stairs, C18 two-panelled doors but mainly plain late C19 two- and 4-panelled
doors, and 8-bay collar-truss roof with butt and clasped purlins. Similar roof
to rear right, which has chamfered and stopped beam on ground floor.
