GV II

Barn. Late C18. Coursed limestone rubble; Stone slate roof. 5-bay plan with
central threshing floor. Central double opening to threshing floor. Splayed
ventilation slits to left; concrete lintel over C20 casement to right.
Half-hipped roof. Interior: 5-bay collar truss roof with side struts and butt
purlins. Subsidiary features: stable block in similar style and materials to
right has flat stone arches over 2 plank doors and two C20 casements, and 5-bay
roof with post and pad trusses. Attached to front right is similar smaller
stable with gabled roof, one stable door and adjoining C20 window, and 2-bay
collar truss roof with side struts and butt purlins. Included for group value.
Part of a group,including farmhouse, enclosing farmyard.
