House. Early C17. Coursed limestone rubble; thatched roof; brick stacks. 2-unit
plan. 2 storeys; 2-window range. Timber lintels over inserted C20 door and
adjoining window to right, and late C20 leaded casement in place of original
central door. Timber lintel over 3-light leaded casement to left of blocked
door; 2 three-light leaded casements in half dormers. Timber lintels over two
C18 one-light and one 2-light leaded casements to rear. Half-hipped roof; left
end stack and late C19 right end stack. Interior: Full set of chamfered and
stopped joists to left and right; chamfered wood bressumer over fireplace to
left. 2-bay collar-truss roof with butt purlins and wattle and daub infill.
Closed timber truss to single-unit block attached to right. A straight joint
separates the 2-unit house from a single-unit block to the right, possibly a
stable originally, which is built of coursed limestone rubble and under the same
thatched roof. Interior has been remodelled and openings altered in late C20.
Late C20 gabled extension to right and lean-to at rear.
