House. Remains of C15 service end of No.27 (q.v.), later alterations. Originally
timber-framed; clad in C18 Flemish bond colourwashed brick; old tile roof; brick
stack. Original plan form unclear. 2 storeys; 4-window range. Segmental arches
on ground floor, timber lintels on first floor, over 2 late C19 sashes and 5
late C19 two-light casements. Gabled roof; front lateral stack. Left gable end
adjoining No.27 (q.v.) has mid C18 sash above door and window of c.1970.
Interior: Exposed timber framing with arch brace adjoining No.27 (q.v.) has
mortice holes for now demolished framing on site of the Swan, and assembly for
front jetty continued through to No.27 (q.v.); jowled post to chamfered and
stopped beam. Roof structure, probably C17, obscured.
