House. Early C17, refaced in mid C18, Originally timber-framed with square
framing to right side wall. Flemish bond brick with flared headers; old tile
roof; brick stack. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys; 4-window range. Carved brackets to
flat hood over 6-panelled door with overlight. Mid C18 sashes to all windows,
segmental header arches to bottom right and to narrow sash over door, timber
lintel over 2 joined sashes to left of door. Plank doors to left carriage entry.
Gabled roof; ridge stack. 2-storey, one-bay range to rear right, originally
timber-framed now of Flemish bond brick and rendered, with old tile roof and
gable end limestone rubble stack finished in brick, C19 two- and 3-light
casements and mid C18 six-panelled door. Interior: Mid C18 panelled room to
front right. Mid C18 two-panelled doors, and winder stairs of vase balusters on
closed string. Rear wing has chamfered and stopped beams and winder stairs
adjoining rear stack. First floor and attic not inspected but likely to be of
interest.
