House. Late C18. Flemish bond brick with flared headers; Welsh slate roof; brick
stack. L-plan. 2 storeys; 3-window range. C20 door flanked by C20 doors in C19
pedimented surrounds. Segmental arches and timber lintels over late C18 sashes.
Roof is hipped to left, attached to right, 3-window range to rear left wing has
three C18 sashes and 2 ridge stacks. Before the 1914-18 war, this building
housed the "D section" of the Berkshire Yeomanry. Attached to Alton House (q.v.)
to right. Included for group value.
