Mill house, now house, C18, possibly incorporating earlier structure; with C19
alterations. Coursed squared stone plinth with brick coping to left and centre;
coursed squared stone with brick dressings to ground and first floors left and
centre, and to ground floor right; red brick with flared headers in Flemish bond
to first floor right; complex hipped old plain-tile roof, with some lead ridges;
various brick stacks. originally, 2 storeys and attic; 3-window ranqe, having
2-storey single-bay addition to right. 6-panel door to right of centre with
overlight, having square porch on simple Doric columns with trygliph frieze to
cornice. Horizontal sash to right of centre with flat brick arch of rubbed
bricks. Single-pane casement to left of centre. Blocked doorway to centre with
brick quoins and rubbed brick flat arch. Blocked window opening to left. Flat
brick band between ground and first floors to original 3 bays. 12-pane unhorned
sashes to first floor. False 12-pane sash to left, painted on blank panel. Coved
eaves to original range. 2 hipped full dormers with 2-light casements. Left
return: render, probably on brick. Doric giant-order pilasters between and at
end of bays. Regular fenestration. 16-pane unhorned sashes to first floor with
C19 cast-iron window-boxes. Coved eaves. 3 hipped full dormers. Interior not
inspected.
