SU2397 Nos 1-3 (consecutive)
Block of 3 dwellings. c1890. In Cotswold vernacular style by Sir Ernest
George and Alfred Yeates. Coursed rubble stone with stone dressings and
gabled stone tiled roof with 2 stone ridge stacks. Long 2-storey range with
central gable, 2 gables to the rear and flanking 1-storey entrances with
projecting curved porches to E and W. The 3rd door is beneath the central
gable on the S front. 4-light mullioned windows with leaded casements and
Tudor-arched doorways with flat hoods on carved brackets and plank doors.
