Canal cottage. Late C18 with later additions. Rubble stone with hipped
stone tiled roofs and N brick stack. The original lock keeper's cottage had
a square plan of 2 storeys which was given one-storey additions on 3 sides.
Those on the E and W have hipped roofs and a catslide roof covers a further
outshut to the N. C20 2-light wood casements throughout. Modern door. Now
a National Trust holiday cottage.
