Gatepiers and gates. Circa 1650, contemporary with Coleshill House and
probably by its architect, Sir Roger Pratt. A pair of rectangular piers
closely modelled on the chimney stacks of the house with rusticated panels
on all sides, those on the N and S sides with inner egg and tongue moulding.
Bracketed cornice and carved stone vases. The S sides of the piers have
features that were incorporated into the staircase hall of the house -framed
and recessed roundels holding classical busts and below these shell headed
niches arranged as seats with moulded architraves and small key blocks.
Good late C18 cast iron gates between piers inscribed "GLOUCESTER FOUNDERY"
