SP 3027-3127
3/73 No 9, The Chequers Public
- House
Public House. C17 of coursed and squared rubblestone and stucco to the top floor
possibly masking timber framing with a gabled slate roof with dressed stone
copings and 2 stone stacks with brick caps. L-shaped plan, 2 storeys and attic.
Irregular C20 fenestration to W and S fronts on the ground floor, but the deep
reveal of a refenestrated window under the S gable suggests that it was once a

on the E wall at first floor height. C19 lean-to parlour inserted in the angle
of the 2 wings with sash windows.
