- Millhouse

Mill and millhouse. Present structure probably circa 1800. Rubble with ashlar
quoins, Cotswold stone roofs, coped verges, 2 corniced ashlar chimneys. In 2 parts,
the left hand domestic. Two windows to right-hand end, leaded casements of 2- and
3-lights, ledged door to right, C20 garage doors to left of centre. Right hand,
mill, part is taller, 4 bays, roughly central door with loft doors over, flanking
3-light casement windows with leaded lights, segment-headed 3-light window on first
floor to right of these openings; gable light to south of right-hand block. Old
mill-stone threshold (possibly mediaeval pumice stone). All machinery intact
including rare double waterwheel (undershot) with timber axle and bins. The house
contains a large bake oven with associated dough-chest.
