The Old Malthouse
Probably formerly a farmhouse. Early C18 probably a remodelling of older fabric.
Roughly coursed rubble, Cotswold stone roof, centre part with end ashlar chimneys,
pair stacks with common cornice. In 3 parts, the main central part higher with 2
windows, cross-mullioned on first floor with leaded casements retaining old glass in
the panes, 3-light on ground floor to left, the right-hand an oak ovolo moulded
mullion window of 4 lights. The right-hand part has one range of casement windows
with wood mullions and inner doorway, 6-panel door (top 4 glazed) and open pedi-
mented stone hood on scroll brackets. Single-storey one-window extension to left.
