Outbuildings and stables, now house and tearoom. C18/early C19, part possibly
late medieval, converted and extended late C20. Coursed squared marlstone, and
rubble with ashlar dressings; Stonesfield-slate roofs with a limestone-ashlar
gable stack. L-shaped range linked to a single unit around a courtyard. West
range contains the former coachouse entrance plus a doorway and a 3-light
casement; south gable wall has a 2-light stone-mullioned window. South range,
now infilled, was formerly open fronted. C20 range on east links to a
single-unit rubble building with gable parapets and stack which was probably a
bakehouse. The entrance has an early C18 chamfered stone surround with
projecting keyblock, and there are 3 small lattice windows with chamfered
surrounds, 2 opening into the former open fireplace, that on the gable wall with
a label. This building may have an early origin. Interior: large ashlar bread
oven. Formerly outbuildings to the Falkland Arms (q.v.).
