House, formerly sub-divided. C17, re-modelled early C19. Coursed, squared
marlstone; thatch roof with limestone-ashlar stacks. 2-unit lobby-entry plan,
altered and extended. 2 storeys plus attic. Front has a small added central wing
of one storey plus attic with an inserted C20 entrance in left side; front gable
has a single-light lattice window with label. To left is a 3-light
stone-mullioned window with a C19 mullioned window of 2 lights above, both with
labels and lattice glazing; no openings to right of wing save for a tiny
first-floor window in the angle. Lower C20 bay against left gable wall. Right
gable wall has C19 lattice windows with labels, to 3 floors, a gable parapet and
a C19 stack. Further large renewed stack in line with front wing. Rear retains a
4-light stone-mullioned window and wood-mullioned first-floor windows of 3 and 4
lights. Small single-storey extension set back to right, extended C20. Interior:
chamfered joists; chamfered beams with ogee stops; back-to-back open fireplaces,
one with stop-chamfered bressumer, inglenook and bread oven; remains of winder
stair rising to attic in a curved recess within former lobby. Front wing
concealed former lobby entrance.
