(Formerly listed as Tulip Tree
House and adjoining shop. c.1700, extended early C19. Coursed, squared marlstone
with some ashlar dressings; Stonesfield-slate and Welsh-slate roofs with
limestone-ashlar stacks. 3-unit plan with secondary ranges. 2 storeys plus
attic, 2 storeys and single storey. Main range has a regular 4-window front with
a keyblock roll-moulded doorway, to right of centre, and leaded cross windows
with projecting keyblocks. Roof has 2 leaded roof dormers, gable parapets and
flanking stacks. Rear has 2 further cross windows and 4 single-light windows
with transoms; the chamfered plinth contains a cellar door. 2-storey bay, to
right of the main range, is partly C20 but incorporates a 2-light wood-mullioned
window and a 3-light wood mullion- and -transom window. Single-storey
Welsh-slated C19 range returns to rear from right and includes the 2-light
casements and stable door of the shop. Range returns parallel to main range as
stables. Interiors not inspected.
