Small house, formerly sub-divided. C17. Coursed squared marlstone rubble with
some ashlar dressings; thatch roof with limestone-ashlar gable stacks. 3-unit
lobby-entry plan with end outshut. 2 storeys plus attic and 2 storeys. Higher
2-window section has plank door to extreme right, two 2-light stone-mullioned
windows with labels, and 3-light first-floor casements. Lower bay, set back to
right (formerly No.41) has 2-light casements, that on ground floor with a
chamfered stone surround and label. All windows have lattice glazing. Left gable
of higher section has a parapet with projecting kneelers and there are small
attic windows in both gables. C19 stacks, to right of both sections, have
plinths and moulded caps. Rear of main section has a canted stair projection
with a small leaded window Stone-slated outshut to left has a flat-arched
doorway, a 3-light leaded casement facing left and a former bread-oven
projection to rear. Interior: stop-chamfered beam; winder stair
