House. Probably C17, re-fronted c.1700. Marlstone ashlar and coursed squared
rubble; Stonesfield-slate roof with limestone-ashlar gable stacks. 2-unit plan
with rear stair tower. 2 storeys plus attic. Symmetrical 3-window front has a
central doorway with 4-panel door, flat arch with projecting keyblock, and a
shallow open porch with ashlar sides and roof. Outer bays have lattice-glazed
cross windows with keyblock flat arches, and there is a single-light transom
window over the door. The ashlar storey band is linked to ground-floor pilaster
strips at the angles and to a panel above the door. Gables have parapets; C19
stacks have moulded caps. Rear has a full-height central stair tower with
stone-mullioned lattice windows. Interior not inspected.
