GV II

Small house. Possibly C16. Limestone rubble with wooden lintels; thatch roof
with brick ridge stack. 3-unit plan, possibly originally a 2-unit hall house.
One storey plus attic. Front has the doorway with a thatched canopy to left, a
blocked doorway to right between large C20 casements, and has 2 small 2-light
leaded half dormers, one with a heavy early frame. Rear has further small leaded
casements, Stack to left of centre. Interior: to right of the stack, which has
an inglenook fireplace, are 2 stop-chamfered transverse beams with
stop-chamfered joists in the 2 bays to right; fireplace bay has later, probably
inserted, joists. Stack may rise in the centre of a former open hall.
