Farmhouse, now house. Late C17, possibly with earlier features. Limestone ashlar
and rubble; Stonesfield-slate and Welsh-slate roof with ashlar gable stacks.
3-unit cross-passage plan, now partly altered, with rear service range. 2
storeys plus attic. 3-window ashlar front has leaded stone-mullioned windows of
2, 3 and 2 lights on both floors plus a chamfered stone doorway to left of
centre; continuous moulded drip over ground floor openings. Stacks have plinths
and moulded caps, and the roof has been extended to right over a cart entry with
former loft above. Rear has further mullioned windows and a central gabled stair
tower. Left end wall is in random rubble and may be earlier; it returns to a
single-storey service range. Interior: large open fireplace with cambered
stop-chamfered bressumer and bread oven; similar fireplace with bread oven in
rear wing; winder stairs to attics; butt-purlin roof.
