14/141 Box Tree Cottage


House. Late C17/early C18, altered C20. Limestone rubble with wooden lintels;
artificial stone-slate roof with ashlar gable stacks. 2-unit plan with rear
outshut. 2 storeys plus attic. Symmetrical 2-window front has a central doorway
with a heavy chamfered frame in a C20 stone porch, and has 3-light leaded
casements to both floors. Roof has 2 leaded roof dormers, Right gable wall,
facing west, has small leaded windows. Part of outshut has been raised to form a
gabled rear wing incorporating a re-used leaded casement. Interior not
