9/198 Foxhills Farmhouse

Farmhouse, now house. Late C17/early C18 and late C18/early C19. Coursed squared
marlstone; Welsh-slate roofs with brick gable stacks. T-plan, extended. 2
storeys plus attic. Earlier 2-window range to left has a 4-panel door with
rectangular overlight, and flanking 3-light casements with flat arches and
projecting keyblocks; first floor has two 2-light casements with wooden lintels.
2-window added range breaks forward to left and has leaded 2-light casements, at
ground floor with segmental arches and projecting keyblocks. Both roofs have
parapets, the earlier with moulded kneelers. Rear wing has 2 blocked 2-light
stone-mullioned windows at semi-basement level, and has a 3-light casement with
very old lattice glazing. Interior: winder stair; moulded plank doors.
