GV II

Small house. Early C18. Limestone rubble with wooden lintels; concrete
plain-tile roof with stone and brick gable stacks. Single-unit plan. 2 storeys
plus attic. 2-window front has a pair of tall windows at first floor, with C20
casements, and one similar window below; C20 single-storey extension covers
second window opening; entrance to extreme right. Left stack has a marlstone
plinth; right stack rebuilt. C20 roof dormer. Rear has a rectangular stair
projection. Interior: open fireplace with inglenook, chamfered bressumer and
spit rack. Said to have been a school. Included for group value.
