Farmhouse. C17, altered Cl9. Coursed squared marlstone With limestone-ashlar
dressings; Welsh-slate roof with marlstone-ashlar and brick stacks. 3-unit
double-depth plan. 2 storeys plus attic; 3-window front, with 6-panel door to
right of centre in a large gabled C19 porch, has large stone-mullioned windows,
of 5 lights at ground floor and 4 lights above, linked by horizontal drip moulds
which return around the end walls. Moulded plinth, partly rebuilt in brick, also
returns and there are further mullioned windows at both ends and at the rear.
Shallow-pitched roof probably replaces a double-span roof and has 3 large hipped
roof dormers plus end and internal stacks with brick shafts. C19 hipped-roofed
rear wing, returning to left, has segmental-arched casements. Interior not
inspected.
