16/66 Curbridge Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. Late C16, with mid/late C17 extension to left. Uncoursed and coursed
limestone rubble; gabled stone slate roof; stone ashlar end stack to C16 block,
and ridge stack of stone finished in brick. One- extended to 3-unit plan. 2
storeys; 4-window range. Timber lintel over C20 door, with stone slate gabled
hood, in second bay from left. Medieval chamfered stone light reset to right of
door. Timber lintels over 8-pane sashes on first floor and to right of door, and
over C20 windows and French window to rest of ground-floor: timber lintels are
ovolo-moulded (late C17) to top left and brattished with Tudor roses to partly
blocked C16 opening to top right. Interior and rear not inspected, but interior
noted as having chamfered beams and open fireplaces.
