House

GV II

House, now public house. Mid/late C17, with later alterations. Coursed limestone
rubble; gabled thatch roof; brick end stack. 2-unit through-passage plan. One
storey and attic; 3-window range. Timber lintels over central C20 door with
porch, mid C19 sash to right, early C19 two-light casement to left and mid C19
three-light half-dormer casements. Rear outshut and wing of c.1850. Interior:
ground floor has two chamfered beams, with rolled stops to left; open fireplace
has chamfered bressumer with rolled stops to left; collar-truss roof with heavy
principals and butt purlins.
