Barn, now store. c.1800. Uncoursed limestone rubble; half-hipped stone slate
roof. 7-bay plan with 2 threshing floors. Timber lintels over threshing flor
entries, which have gabled midstreys to former rick yard at rear. Ventilation
slits; nesting holes under eaves. Interior: 7-bay side-purlin roof. Faces
foldyard to front, with 2 cowhouses of similar materials attached to outer bays:
building to right has timber lintels over 2 doors flanking ventilation slit, has
nesting holes under eaves, and has interior open to side-purlin roof. Building
to left substantially rebuilt. Forms part of foldyard behind City Farmhouse
(q.v.). Included for group value.
