House and flat. C15/C16: raised and completely remodelled c.1830. Coursed
limestone rubble; gabled stone slate roof; stone end stacks. 3-unit plan. 2
storeys and attic; 3-window range. Keyed flat stone arches (mainly
concrete-rendered) over early C19 four-panelled door with overlight, early C19
eight-pane sashes and one 4-pane sash above door; gabled dormers with C20
casements. No.2A, to left, has similar keyed arch over C20 door and timber
lintels over C20 windows. Outshut, heightened in C20, to rear. Interior:
remodelled open fireplace with chamfered stone jambs to right. Early C19
staircase with stick balusters. First floor not inspected. Drawing by J.C.
Buckler, 1826, shows a lower 2-storey late medieval or C16 building, the eaves
pitch of which can still be seen in the right gable wall.
