GV II

House. Early/mid C18 alteration of earlier house. Coursed limestone rubble with
squared stones to raised eaves; gabled stone slate roof; rendered end stacks.
2-unit plan with central stairs. Timber lintel over C20 door with C20 hood, and
C20 timber lintels over C20 casements; Sun Alliance insurance plaque over door.
3-light leaded casement to rear. Former C18 stable and granary, now part of
dwelling, to right; of similar materials with brick rear lateral stack;
ventilation slits and left door in right gable wall. Interior: chamfered and
stop-chamfered beams. Open fireplace with chamfered bressumer to left, adjoining
winder stairs. Collar-truss roof with butt purlins.
