Farmhouse, now house. Late C17, with possible earlier origins. Coursed limestone
rubble with squared quoins, except roughcast over lath and plaster in timber
frame to right of front; hipped stone slate reef; C17 brick rear lateral stack
and right end stack. L-plan with rear right wing. storeys; 3-window range.
Central C20 door with timber porch. Flat rendered arches aver early C19
eight-pane sashes; modillioned eaves cornice. Right side wall, of 2-window
range, has 2 late C17 cross windows on first floor: late C17/C18 outshut,
remodelled in C20, to left of short rear wing. C20 extension to right. Interior:
fine late C17 staircase to right of door, of dog-leg with landings rising to
attic and with turned balusters on closed string, square newels and
bolection-panelled dado. Open fireplace in kitchen to rear. First floor has
round-arched doorway with moulded imposts an landing; late C17
bolectian-panelled room with doors to left; room to rear right has
bolection-moulded panelling, doors and fireplace. Butt-purlin roof.
