Dovecote and outbuilding. Probably late C17 or early C18, Coursed limestone
rubble with stone slate roof and dovecote of squared and coursed limestone with
stone dressings and pyramidal stone slate roof with lead finial. On 2 levels,
with one-storey outbuilding and square dovecote at the south-west end of 2
storeys over basement. South-west front of dovecote: lunette loft opening with
moulded cill. Boarded ground-floor door with wooden lintel and 3 square openings
above in large decayed stone lintel. Left-hand return front has central window
with wooden lintel and 2 boarded doors with wooden lintel (the right-hand one is
a basement door to the dovecote). Interior of dovecote: 3 tiers of nesting boxes
in walls with wooden ledges and spacers. Central wooden potence. Roof with
crossed tie-beams.
