16/44 Cottage at SP 3589 1658

GV II

Cottage. Early C18, Coursed limestone rubble with stone slate roof. Two-unit
plan, at right angles to road. Two storeys. Integral stone end stack to left,
rebuilt above ridge in C20 reconstituted stone. Two-window ridge in C20
reconstituted stone. Two-window front; 2-light leaded wooden casements with
wooden lintels and stone cills. Ground floor windows with twisted square-section
wrought-iron bars behind opening casements. Central boarded door with wooden
lintel. Domed bread oven projecting from left-hand gable end. Interior not
inspected.
