Gatepier. Circa 1850, probably by Charles Barry. Tooled limestone ashlar. Square
plan. Moulded plinth, banded rustication, frieze, moulded cornice, and stepped
cap to large urn finial with carved swags and fruit drops, etc. This is one of a
pair of gatepiers (no gates at time of survey - April 1987) which, with the
Lodge (q.v.), stand at the end of the main drive to Kiddington Hall (q.v.). The
Hall was remodelled by Charles Barry, c.1850.
