House and shop. Mid C17. Coursed limestone rubble; gabled stone slate roof with
concrete tiles to rear; gable end and rear lateral stacks of stone finished in
brick. 2-unit plan with through-passage to right. 2 storeys and attic; 4-window
range. Late C19 outshut with Welsh slate roof, C20 window and late C19
half-glazed door. Timber lintels over late C19 sashes to left and 3-light
casements with glazing bars on first floor; 2 gabled roof dormers. No. 19 to
right is early C18 and projects into street: of coursed limestone rubble with
hipped concrete tile roof. 2-storey, one-window range. Late C19 half-glazed door
flanked by canted bay windows with C19 glazing-bar lights: timber lintel over
late C19 three-light casements above; C18 plank door with strap hinges to
through-passage of No.17 to left. C19 outshut to rear of No. 19. Mid/late C17
range to rear of No.17: limestone rubble with gabled stone slate roof: of 2
storeys with plank loft door to former store. Interior: early C18 two-panelled
door with large Norfolk latch from through-passage to No.17, which has
ovolo-moulded beam to left and stop-chamfered beams. First floor not inspected.
No.19 has chamfered beam and timber-framed partition walls to left.
