House. C18; remodelled in late C19. Coursed limestone rubble; gabled stone slate
roof; brick end stacks. One-unit plan. 2 storeys and attic; 2-window range. Long
timber lintel with chamfering over central plank door and flanking 3-light
casements with iron opening lights; on first floor, chamfered timber lintels
over similar casements C20 roof dormer. Late C19 rear outshut. Interior: late
C19 fireplace and chamfered beams; winder stairs. Datestone T.W./1893 records
late C19 rebuilding: some machine-cut quoins of this date are discernible, but
the house is remarkable in retaining its C18 appearance. Included for group
value.
