Gateway and extending along
road to Heyford Bridge together
with gates and gatepiers

Park wall. Mid C18. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar coping. C18 plank door
with Norfolk latch set in chamfered stone architrave near Heyford Bridge (q.v.).
Followed by late C19 railings on low wall carried to Bridge. Mid C19 gates and
gatepiers approximately midway along wall. Bounds landscape gardens laid out by
William Kent between 1733 and 1740.
(Rousham Park is included in the H.B.M.C. Register of Parks and Gardens at Grade
I)
