Cowhouse. Built c.1733-40 by William Kent. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar
dressings; gabled stone slate roof with ashlar dressings; gabled stone slate
roof with concrete tiles to rear; stone coping with onion finials to left.
2-unit plan. One-storey. Semi-circular archway to centre of front. Round window
above similar archway in left gable. Timber lintel over doorway with brick
quoins to rear. Gabled projection to right gable: segmental-arched entry and
stone-coped gable with ball finial. Significant as an early example of the
"ferme ornee".
