Farmhouse. c.1720 for Brangwin family. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar
quoins and dressings; gabled concrete tile roof; late C19 brick end stacks.
Central-staircase plan. 2 storeys and attic; symmetrical 5-window range. Stone
steps rise to mid C18 six-panelled door set in raised architrave with early C18
segmental hood over. Keyed and raised architraves to late C18 six-pane sashes:
2-light chamfered stone-mullioned cellar window to right of door. Two C20 gabled
roof dormers. C18 six-panelled door and 6-pane sashes to rear. C18 two-storey
range to left of stone ashlar with gabled concrete tile roof and brick end
stack. C18 rear wing, set into hillside, of limestone rubble with gabled
corrugated iron roof. Interior: cased beams; fine early C18 dog leg with landing
staircase has turned balusters set on closed string.
