Farmhouse. Datestone P/E.J./1714. Coursed limestone rubble; gabled stone slate
roof; end stacks of stone finished in brick. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys and attic;
symmetrical 3-window range. Flat stone arches over C20 door and windows; C20
gabled roof dormer. Earlier C17 two-bay range to right has banded ironstone
walls and brick ridge stack. Stair-turret and small dairy with corrugated iron
roof to rear. Interior: C18 bolection-panelled, panelled and plank doors; winder
stairs, partly renewed in C20, rise to attic; fine large bolection-moulded
fireplace to right. C17 bays to right have stop-chamfered beams. Subsidiary
features: stable and barn range to right of limestone rubble with corrugated
iron roof; stables to left have timber lintels over openings to rear; large
double entry to barn, which has C20 roof structure.
