House, now 2 dwellings. Probably late C17/early C18 incorporating medieval
features; extended C20. Coursed limestone rubble with wooden lintels and ashlar
quoins; Stonesfield-slate roof with rubble stacks. 3-unit plan with extended
rear wing. 2 storeys plus attic. 3-window front has renewed 2-light casements at
both floors, and between bays 2 and 3 has a reused C14 doorway, with a moulded
arch and a hood mould; above it is small blocked contemporary window of 2
ogee-headed lights below a semi-circular tympanum. A secondary entrance (serving
No.2) is set to extreme left. Rear wing, returning from left, has been extended.
Steep-pitched roof of main range has a gable stack to right and a ridge stack
between bays one and 2. Interior not inspected.
