Walled garden. C18. Coursed squared limestone with ashlar dressings and brick in
Flemish bond with flared headers. Rectangular garden, approximately 120 metres
by 80 metres, has brick-lined walls approximately 3 metres high, each with a
central gateway except for the north-east side which has the depressed-arched
opening to a semi-circular shelter. Stone extensions to the walls project at the
eastern and western angles for approximately 25 metres, ramping downwards.
Wilderness Cottages, which interrupt the north-west wall, are not of special
architectural interest.
(Heythrop Park is included at Grade II* in the English Heritage Register of
Parks and Gardens)
