GV II

Farmhouse. Late C17 and late C18/early C19. Coursed squared marlstone with some
ashlar dressings; concrete plain-tile roof with ashlar-and-brick stacks. 2-unit
lobby-entry plan with rear wing, rear outshut plus converted farmbuilding. 2
storeys plus attic. Right bay of 2-window front has aligned stone-mullioned
windows of 4 and 3 lights below a gabled dormer; left bay has a large
segmental-arched sash window, 5 panes wide, at intermediate height above a
basement window; central 6-panel door has an overlight. Steep-pitched roof has 3
stone-based stacks, the central stack in line with the entrance. Rear wing,
returning from right, has casements and 2 further stacks; outshut extends to
left. Converted farmbuilding range extending to right of main range is now part
of house. Interior not inspected.
