9/2 Stone Cottage

GV II
House. Early C18, with right bay added early-mid C20 in matching style, and rear
wing of 1986. Coursed rubble limestone, stone slate roof, rubble chimneys to
gable ends and between right bays. One storey and attic, 3 bays. C20 barred
wooden casements, 2-light to attic and ground floor left, 3-light to ground
floor of right bays. Wooden lintels. Upper windows are set in full gabled
dormers with stone ball finials. C20 door between left bays, with lean-to stone
slab hood on wooden brackets. Rear has later lean-to extensions and 1980's wing
in matching style. Interior: centre bay has stop-chamfered main ceiling beams
and fireplace lintel; left bay has roughly chamfered cross beam.
