GV II
Pair of chest tombs: 1) to Joseph Shingleton 1777 and wife Mary 1774. Limestone
ashlar. Short, upright chest with chamfered base, moulded cornice lid and top,
and moulded panels. South panel has carved foliage scroll border. 2) to Joseph
Shingleton, 1818, of pinker limestone with one white marble inscription panel.
Also of upright type, with moulded base and cornice lid, and square pilasters
with drapery drops in recessed corners. End panels are oval.
